The opening of Uziel Khoury's grave this morning (Monday) was stopped after 9 hours of work on the grave, because two graves of two children were found at the burial site.
Finding two skeletons requires the intervention of the court, this is because the permit given for the opening of the tomb was for the tomb of Uziel Khoury and was not intended for another tomb.
The Khoury family will now have to go back to court to request a genetic test of the two skeletons found, and possibly even the opening of the three adjacent graves.
The current incident is another step in Mazal Barko's long saga in relation to her request to find out what happened to her brother in the year and two months in the 1950s that according to the authorities he died and was buried in the Purple Cemetery in Petah Tikva.
Mazal Barko requested to open the tomb as early as 2018 however the state piled various difficulties and dragged Mazal to the Supreme Court only where it was determined that the tomb would be opened.
In light of this and after the decision of the Family Court yesterday, the opening of the tomb began today, but unfortunately the opening did not advance the solution of the mystery, since a genetic examination of the two skeletons would require another court ruling.
