Weather in Baden-Württemberg: DWD warns of severe thunderstorms

Thunderstorms, hail, heavy rain and squalls are possible.
Stuttgart – The weather in Germany starts the new week turbulently.
Baden-Württemberg will be hit again by severe storms on Monday (May 23).
The
German Weather Service
has issued a severe weather warning for the southwest.
Heavy thunderstorms, some of them severe, were already moving across Baden-Württemberg early on Monday morning.
From 12 noon the meteorologists warn of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain.
The sometimes severe thunderstorms can move across the country until the evening, as reported by BW24.
According to the weather experts, however, the greatest danger comes from large hailstones with a size of up to 4 centimeters.
Severe weather warning for Baden-Württemberg: Hurricane gusts of up to 110 kilometers per hour
There are also hurricane-like gusts with wind speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour.
Especially over the mountains, strong to stormy gusts of up to 60, on high peaks in the southern Black Forest, gusts of wind up to 85 kilometers per hour from the southwest can occur until the night of Tuesday (May 24th).
On a small scale, there is also potential for heavy rain with up to 40 liters of rain per square meter in a short time.
