In Nuremberg, the ignition of two children had far-reaching consequences: the wooden hut of a sports club caught fire and burned down.
Now the police are investigating.
Nuremberg – At around 11.45 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, a witness called the emergency services and reported that there was a fire on the grounds of the ASC Boxdorf sports facility on “Am Weiher” street in Nuremberg.
It was a wooden hut.
The fire brigade managed to put out the fire – but the hut itself burned down completely.
Nuremberg: Children set fire to wooden hut – both are under criminal responsibility
Fortunately, no one was injured in the fire in the wooden hut of the sports club.
According to the police press release, property damage amounted to 50,000 euros.
During the course of the initial investigation, it turned out that two children had caused the fire.
A child under the age of 14 had set fire to the wooden hut in the presence of another child who was also under the age of criminal responsibility.
This was what caused the fire.

As the police explained in their press release, the responsible specialist commissariat of the Nuremberg criminal police is now taking over the further investigations.
They will not only show whether and how negligently the children acted, but also how such a devastating fire could have happened.
