A fire broke out in Yuen Long. At about 7 am today (23rd), several neighbors saw a unit in Chik Wing Building, No. 32-34, Tai Tong Road, with smoke and fire, and they called the police.
The fire department broke the door and entered the unit for investigation, and found that the ceiling light bulb in the kitchen caught fire. No one was injured in the incident and no evacuation was required.
The fire investigation believes that a water pump in a fish tank in the unit is leaking electricity and is contacting the owner to deal with it.
According to the on-site news, the fire unit was the "Chen Huoguang Museum". The Yuen Long squire Chen Huoguang likes to collect calligraphy antiquities and has opened a private museum for display.
The collections in the unit are piled up like mountains. Online information shows that the collection includes Yue Fei's calligraphy, coins, stamps, antique clocks and so on.
Several people at the scene said that there was "no big loss", mainly burning the furniture, and the antiques were fine, and the loss was to be counted.
