The esteemed presenter wrote a short post on Facebook, in which he called on students to protest against the demonstration that took place at Ben Gurion University in the Negev

Avri Gilad does it again:

A relatively short post he wrote last night (Monday) in the early evening hours on the social network Facebook, managed to arouse great interest again when he proposed to cancel studies today (Tuesday) at the University of Be'er Sheva following the hoisting of Palestinian flags last night (Monday) at the institution The academic as part of the Nakba Day rally.

The post in question gained in just one hour almost ten thousand likes, and many hundreds of shares and comments.

"Strike," Gilad wrote in the headline, which hinted at his intentions.

Then came the explanation when he wrote, "We will see you, male and female students in Be'er Sheva, who will suspend their studies tomorrow after the flag demonstration today," challenged the students.

"We were the first to set an academic price tag for the days of 'We are studying in Israel, but we want its destruction,'" he sharply criticized the conduct of the students who chose to hoist the Palestinian Authority flag.

"Any such incident, the immediate cancellation of the next school day," he sought to place a new equation on the matter.

"Do you have the courage, to stand on your own, or are you a campus of sluts?", He wondered and finally wrote with humor, "asking for a friend."

The matter was also addressed by singer Idan Amidi, who wrote a story on Instagram: "It is not clear how we got to the point where the flag became a political debate," he resented.

"It is important that we be proud of who we are, of those who fought for this flag and for us, who were proud in the past so that the future will also be blue and white," he ruled against the background of a picture of the Israeli flag.

Were we wrong?
