The Ministries of Health and Environmental Protection warn that entering the El Al, Zaki, Hexagon Pool and Ga'aton streams could be dangerous. • The problem: No known source of pollution was found in these streams.

Abnormal results in water sampling carried out yesterday in four streams in the north of the country, the Ministries of Health and Environmental Protection announce.

Thus, entering these streams can be dangerous.

These are the El Al streams, the Zaki, the Hexagon Pool and the Ga'aton.

The Ministry of Environmental Protection did not find a known source of pollution in the streams.

The sampling for water quality in streams in the north is carried out from a sample every two weeks, at fixed sampling points representing a waterfall, pond or section in the river, through the inspectors of the Nature and Parks Authority.

In tests for bacteria in samples from yesterday (May 23 this year), results were found in a number of streams in the north that exceed the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health explains that any result over 400 fecal ultrasound bacteria per 100 ml - indicates the presence of a contamination in the water.

The results obtained in the streams in question: EL AL - 1,700;

Zaki - 2,640;

Hexagon Pool - 2,750;

Ga'aton - 1,400 in the Eshhar parking lot - 1,130 in the Horba parking lot.

The ministries said they are continuing to sample and monitor, and will update later as needed.
