A young woman (21) had to testify twice as a victim of an alleged sexual offense before the district court in Erding.

Now she is the accused in court.

Erding

– A 21-year-old woman from the southern district got caught up in the whirlpool of justice.

She had to testify twice before the district court in Erding as a suspected victim of a sexual offense, now she is herself a defendant in court because of this process.

Because of the accusation of false testimony about a dispute with her employer, the woman has to answer to the juvenile court on May 31.

After trial for alleged sexual offense: Alleged victim now as accused in court

The process is rooted in the night of January 9, 2020. A then 28-year-old employee of a fast-food restaurant in Erding is said to have sexually harassed the young woman, who also worked there at the time - with kisses and a grip on the breast.

After two days of hearings, the trial against the accused ended in February this year with an acquittal for lack of evidence.

Too many questions remained unanswered and inconsistencies unresolved.

The woman only went to the police months later, and she described the course of the crime differently on the two days of the hearing.

In addition, she had driven her alleged tormentor home after the attack - "in shock", as she said at the time.

However, a policewoman had testified that the woman had made a credible impression.

During the trial, too, she repeatedly burst into tears, while the accused remained silent.

Inconsistencies: Accused of sex crimes acquitted - alleged victim now in court

The process was also about the employer, specifically the restaurant manager.

And it is precisely this processing that is bringing the 21-year-old back to court, this time as a defendant.

She tells our newspaper that she was charged because of her testimony at the trial that the restaurant manager yelled at her in a private conversation.

The boss has denied this and feels wrongly attacked or accused.

The public prosecutor found this to be a false statement.

However, the employment relationship must have been strained beforehand, because the then 18-year-old was fired as a result of the incident - not because of her statement, but because of her unreliability, the director had testified.

She also submitted false sick notes.

The accused continued to be employed.

Did the boss yell?

In an interview with our newspaper, the 21-year-old assures that she has told the truth.

"She yelled at me." Witnesses probably have neither one nor the other side.

The 21-year-old is afraid that if she is convicted, she will have to stop her training as an educator.

"I'm desperate."

The public prosecutor's office in Landshut does not want to comment on their charges, "because they are already in court," said a spokesman.

And Thomas Lindinger, spokesman for the district court in Erding, explains when asked that nothing is generally said about juvenile court matters.

Negotiations are private.
