Al-Ghabash discusses with Al-Mandhari and Al-Hawari ways to enhance cooperation and improve the health reality

The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghubash, discussed today with the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, ways to develop the work of the health sector and improve the reality of health services provided to citizens.

During the meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the plenary session of the 75th session of the World Health Assembly, currently being held in Geneva, developments and priorities related to health care in the region and the world were discussed, in the presence of Syria's permanent representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Husam El Din Ala.

Minister Al-Ghubash also met with the Jordanian Minister of Health, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, and they discussed the mechanism of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

It is noteworthy that the work of the 75th session of the World Health Assembly began on the 22nd of this month and will continue until the 28th of it. Its agenda includes designing policies for health systems and services, highlighting public health issues, response and emergency preparedness, including the Corona pandemic file.

194 countries, including Syria, will participate in the session, in addition to representatives of non-governmental organizations, international bodies and donors.
