The Knesset's Finance Committee today (Tuesday) approved the transfer of budgets to Arab society and local authorities in the Arab sector in the amount of NIS 740 million, following the implementation of the coalition agreements with RAAM.
According to a PM, NIS 400 million will be allocated from the Ministry of Housing for infrastructure development, planning and construction in Arab society. NIS 200 million will be allocated from the Ministry of the Interior to Arab local authorities. NIS 90 million will be allocated from the Ministry of Welfare and Social Services. Additional will be allocated from the Ministries of Science and Social Equality for the development of scientific research programs and youth support.
Last night, the Finance Committee approved a transfer in the amount of NIS 75.5 million to expedite the approval of master plans and planning and construction activities in Arab localities approved in accordance with the coalition agreements with RAAM.
"These budgets are very important to Arab society and local authorities, and they concern burning issues and urgent problems that Arab citizens, councils and Arab authorities suffer from."
