Mainz/Munich ‒ The residents couldn't believe their eyes.
Where is that?
A rain of money from heaven.
Happened in Mainz-Lerchenberg on Monday afternoon.
It rained banknotes from a skyscraper - a total of around 50,000 euros.
Residents and neighbors couldn't believe their eyes when the bills fluttered down from above.
When the police arrived, some of the residents of the high-rise complex had already collected the notes of at least 100 euro bills each - and handed over the extraordinary amount of money to the officials.
Firefighters and police officers helped recover the remaining bills.

According to a police spokeswoman, officials have not yet been able to identify the owner of the banknotes.
"So far, no one has reported it," the officer at the police headquarters in Mainz continued.
If the owner does not get in touch, the money will be handed over to the lost and found office of the city of Mainz.

It is also unclear so far whether someone deliberately threw the money out of the window or whether the bills were blown out by the storm.
The money may also have been sewn into a pillow that accidentally fell out when shaken out.
The money could also come from a crime.
Police are asking residents and neighbors who find more bills to hand them in as well.
The embezzlement of found objects is not a trivial offence.
Less mysterious, but just as spectacular, was the rain of money over Cologne, which the schoolchildren in particular were happy about.
