There is a great desire for a medical center in Moosburg.

But the building committee rejected the most recent application - the citizens' representatives fear "traffic chaos".

Moosburg

– Basically, one would wish for a medical center for the urban infrastructure in Moosburg.

Mayor Josef Dollinger would have liked to see such a building, garnished with plenty of parking spaces, in the future retail stores next to the new Amperauen area, while other city councilors associate a medical center with revitalization for the city centre.

In the building committee on Monday evening, a new option was added with a building application on Landshuter Straße.

The building committee rejected this application for a three-story building with a doctor's office on the ground floor and ten apartments above by a vote of 4:5.

The building next to the gas station at the intersection of Landshuter Strasse and Stadtwaldstrasse is to be demolished and replaced with a new building.

The basic plan for the 1273 square meter property was, in the view of most building committee members, on the upper limit of what was acceptable, but still fit into the area.

A plus point for the applicant was the fact that they wanted to build three more parking spaces than required.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

3. Mayor Michael Stanglmaier (Greens) recalled the planned project in the neighborhood with several apartment buildings and asked how this additional traffic on Landshuter Straße was to be managed.

"We are planning traffic chaos here," Gerhard Beubl (SPD) became clear, and Mayor Josef Dollinger (FW) also had to admit that a doctor's office naturally generates more traffic than apartments.

The traffic issues were then again about a roundabout between Landshuter Strasse and Stadtwaldstrasse.

When asked by Karin Linz (CSU), Dollinger said that the city would probably not receive any grants for such a project.

Head of building department Herbert Held also sees the danger that a roundabout could create a dangerous backwater in downtown Moosburg at certain times.

In the end, the committee voted 4:5 against the planning application because of the traffic situation.

And because of the justification, Dollinger already had the premonition that the application would be returned by the district office.

You really can't refuse a planning application because of the traffic on the street in front of the house.
