The exhibition comes within the framework of the efforts of the Safsaf Al-Khabour Cultural Association and the institutions of cultural concern in preserving and highlighting the intangible heritage of the people of the province, as it was preceded during the past periods by the establishment of heritage exhibitions specialized in tools, household items, fashion, clothing, agriculture, coppersmiths, textiles and folk foods, some of which have disappeared and others are about to be completed. extinction.

Director of Culture Abdul Rahman Al-Sayed stressed in a statement to SANA reporter that preserving the tangible and intangible heritage is a necessity that necessitates the concerted efforts of everyone, including the cultural associations and community institutions that are relied upon to be a basic support for collecting, preserving and highlighting the tangible and intangible heritage through the establishment of specialized exhibitions that introduce the people of the province to their beautiful heritage. .

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Safsaf Al-Khabour Society, researcher Ahmed Al-Hussein explained that the exhibition focuses on folklore weapons that were well-known in the cultural and heritage memory. And hammers, some of which combine metal and wood, such as clinkers and hammers, and some of them are made of textiles, such as slingshots.

He pointed out that the association, through the exhibition, has almost completed a series of documenting social and heritage life in the governorate in its various dimensions, as this exhibition preceded the establishment of many heritage exhibitions in various fields in cooperation with the relevant cultural authorities, stressing that the association will continue to shed light and document the rest of the areas of heritage life in the province. Despite the great effort and time spent in collecting and preserving the material.

The researcher Khaled Al-Atallah, participating in the exhibition, pointed out that what distinguishes it is the display of models of weapons that have become rare and are no longer known, especially among the young generation, in addition to the fact that some of the items that have disappeared were shown holographic models of them, all within the framework of efforts that seek to document the memory of heritage. The national one, which forms a major part of Syria's national identity and its cultural richness.
