After the victory celebration at the Römer and the failure of Mayor Peter Feldmann, Eintracht Frankfurt settled accounts with the mayor.

Frankfurt – Eintracht Frankfurt and Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann: This relationship has deteriorated significantly in recent days.

There are probably several reasons for this.

Club and fans are likely to have been particularly annoyed when OB Feldmann simply snatched the trophy from Sebastian Rode and then changed the names of the players.

In addition, Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche and supervisory board chairman Philip Holzer were not allowed on the balcony.

Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently very disappointed with Mayor Feldmann – and now apparently wants to draw consequences.

"There will be no basis between Eintracht Frankfurt and him in the future.

I can't imagine that Peter Feldmann is still welcome at our games in the stadium," said board spokesman Axel Hellmann of the Bild newspaper.

Even before the Europa League final: tensions between Eintracht Frankfurt and Peter Feldmann

But that's not all: “The players and coaches present the pot to the people.

Everything else is vanity or narcissism.” Hellmann is alluding to the scene when Lord Mayor Peter Feldmann snatched the trophy from Eintracht Frankfurt's captain Sebastian Rode and coach Oliver Glasner at the victory celebrations on the Römerberg.

But even before Eintracht Frankfurt's Europa League triumph, tensions between the club and Feldmann are said to have arisen.

According to the picture report, he wanted to insist on being allowed to fly to Seville for the final.

However, Eintracht registered three other political representatives with UEFA: Hesse’s Prime Minister Volker Bouffier (70, CDU), Greens boss Omid Nouripour (46) and Frankfurt’s sports director Mike Josef (39).

Feldmann finally flew to the final in a fan plane, as reported by fr.de.

Represent the city better: Eintracht Frankfurt settles accounts with Peter Feldmann

When the delegation in Seville celebrated the victory of Eintracht Frankfurt, a ban on the motorcade is said to have fluttered in.

However, the association came to an agreement with the city of Frankfurt on 15 instead of 30 convertibles and drove the employees through the Main metropolis in a double-decker bus.

When they arrived at the Römerberg, Krösche and Holzer had to content themselves with looking out onto the balcony instead of standing there themselves.

After the celebration, several media reported about an announcement by Mayor Feldmann in the town hall that only he and the team with coach Oliver Glasner were allowed on the balcony.

Eintracht captain Sebastian Rode said after the celebration: "I didn't quite understand it.

It's great that he invited us, but it might have been better if he had taken a step back." According to the Bild newspaper, Eintracht Frankfurt will now send a letter to Feldmann and the magistrate and settle accounts with the mayor.

Hellmann said: "I would like the city to be better represented in the future." (msb)
