GRT Gaz is launching a pilot site on the Villiers-le-Bel gas interconnection site (Val-d'Oise) in order to optimize the performance of its equipment thanks to so-called "expansion" energy.
Currently, the energy emitted when lowering the gas pressure is lost.
Thanks to this innovation, the group will now be able to recover it in order to produce electricity.
A way for the group to “act for the energy transition”.
Eventually, he hopes to install this device called "Tenore" on his other sites in France.
