A few days before the opening of the Ninth Summit of the Americas, relations between Mexico and Washington seem once again to cool.
Mexican President Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador (Amlo) refuses to attend the meeting in person if all the countries of the continent are not invited, including Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba.

It does not seem appropriate to us to include countries which do not respect democracy
”, had justified Brian Nichols, the American Under-Secretary of State in charge of the Western Hemisphere in the columns of
