Deputy Head of the Military and Civil Administration of the Kherson Region Kirill Strimosov announced that the Russian language will have the status of the official language on a par with the Ukrainian language in Kherson.
Novosti quoted Strimosov as saying today that "the Russian language will be with Ukrainian the official language of the Kherson region, as it will be used in office work, communication and all issues of national importance," noting that education in schools and universities will be in Russian as well. Kherson will not deviate from its course towards joining Russia.
It is noteworthy that the Russian army liberated the entire Kherson region in southern Ukraine and part of Azov in the Zaporozhye region during its special military operation to protect Donbass, and civilian military administrations were formed in those regions.
