There has already been an inquiry for a solar park in Münsing.

Before the municipality decides on this, it wants to find a basic regulation.

Münsing – The municipality of Münsing has given itself guidelines for the development of open-space photovoltaic systems.

They were developed in a special meeting and explained by environmental officer Anja Ruhdorfer (Greens, non-party) at the most recent municipal council meeting.

Ruhdorfer is a project developer for photovoltaics (PH) by profession.

A few weeks ago, the municipal council had to deal with a request for the construction of a solar park, coming from the motorway at the entrance to Münsing (we reported).

The application was deferred.

The community initially wanted to find a way of dealing with the sensitive issue.

Planning authority should remain in the hands of the municipality

Mayor Michael Grasl (Free Voters) made it clear that solar energy would have to be used if one wanted to become self-sufficient in power generation in the short term.

At the moment there is no need to hope for wind power – keyword 10H rule.

In general, the land use plan must be changed and land use planning carried out for every application by an investor in the future.

"The planning authority thus remains in the hands of the community," emphasized Ruhdorfer.

Agriculture and the landscape should not be affected, and a minimum distance to residential buildings must be maintained.

According to Ruhdorfer, the Bavarian guidelines for PV systems, according to which biotopes are taboo, will be adopted anyway.

"We in the country can build such systems more easily"

Surfaces that are already sealed should be preferred for setting up solar panels.

Whenever possible, the citizens should be involved in the operation of the open-air systems.

The aim is to expand by 200 percent of the municipality's total electricity requirements.

Christine Mair from the Greens supported the regulation: "We in the country can build such systems more easily than the big cities.

That's why we should go over 100 percent when it comes to supply." Thomas Schurz (CSU) is critical of the location on the Autobahn.

There is one of the last opportunities to build another much-needed industrial park there, he said.

The first solar park in the district was opened in Icking on Friday.
