Moderna has announced that it is testing a possible vaccine against monkeypox.
And the “Sky News” network quoted Moderna as saying that it is conducting a vaccine test in the preclinical testing stage, with the disease spreading in the United States and Europe, without providing more details and information about the possible vaccine.
And the World Health Organization announced today that the number of confirmed monkeypox cases has reached 131, along with 106 other suspected cases, since the first case of the disease was reported.
The first infection with the disease was reported on May 7, outside the countries where the virus usually spreads.
And earlier, a World Health Organization official said: The organization does not believe that the outbreak of monkeypox outside the continent of Africa requires the launch of mass vaccination campaigns.
And the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it is in the process of releasing doses of the “Genius” vaccine for use with cases of monkeypox.
