Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko stressed that the global food crisis can be resolved if sanctions imposed on Russian exports are lifted.

"Moscow sees a very simple way out of this crisis, which is the abolition of all restrictive measures imposed on Russian exports," TASS news agency quoted Rudenko as saying yesterday evening to reporters, adding: "When we are told that these sanctions will not affect food and fertilizers, we know that this is absolutely not true." .

Rudenko explained that there are issues related to payment for these supplies from Russian exports and issues related to insurance, as well as the issue of allowing Russian ships to enter European ports, so this issue must be resolved comprehensively.

The Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stressed yesterday that the responsibility for the possible famine in the world rests with the sanctions imposed on Russia and those who imposed them, noting that Russia fully agrees with the concerns of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres about the emergence of a global food crisis.
