The Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank withdraws completely from the community of Hilgertshausen-Tandern.

This business strategy causes resentment among the population.

Hilgertshausen-Tandern – The business strategy of the Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Dachau, which is completely saying goodbye to its customers from the Hilgertshausen-Tandern municipality, is causing dissatisfaction among the population.

Since there has not even been an ATM in Tandern since the demolition of the bank building, which was replaced by a new building with eight apartments, the same is currently being done in Hilgertshausen.

Here, too, the bank building is to disappear completely and in the future there will also be no ATM and account printer.

This was first publicly discussed on Monday evening when the local council dealt with the bank's plans, which envisage 18 residential units on the 3600 square meter property near the town hall.

Andreas Baur, head of the bank's IT and building management department, made no secret of the fact that the bank's board of directors no longer envisages customer contact in the Hilgertshausen-Tandern municipality.

Three semi-detached houses, an apartment building and a dominant building with a length of 29 meters are planned on the Raiffeisen site, which once also included a warehouse.

Originally, the bank wanted a much denser development.

However, because it was noticed that the municipal council would not cooperate, this originally 34 meter long structure was made “smaller” at 29 meters.

Two to three commercial units are to be accommodated on the ground floor of this residential and commercial building.

One thinks of a doctor's office, a physiotherapist and a post office.

50 parking spaces, which will be created via an underground car park and also above ground, are intended to prevent illegal parking on the site.

Several local councils called on those responsible at the bank to reconsider their plans.

For example, Hans Pröbstl (electoral community Hilgertshausen-Tandern) pointed out that many citizens in the 3,500-inhabitant community can no longer even access the bank via an ATM, which once had its roots here.

Mayor Markus Hertlein also asks the bank's board of directors to try to find a solution for the many long-established bank customers.

Peter Schadl (CSU) accused the bank managers of not even having analyzed where their customers will migrate to in the future.

He assumes that a profitability calculation was not carried out because of the real estate plans.

Like Schadl, SPD local councilor Franz Glas also thinks that the Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank is increasingly turning into a real estate company.

Even the civil engineering contractor Georg Murner (CSU), who even sits on the bank's board of representatives, believes that it is a mistake to say goodbye to the banking business across the board.

To justify this with a lack of staff, as Baur stated, is not to be accepted.

Baur was able to see how angry the residents of the community reacted when leaving the meeting room, when a listener called after him: "What you are doing here is a mess", and other listeners also expressed their displeasure.

What also annoys the citizens is the demolition of two bank buildings in relatively good condition.

In Tandern, the tenants will move into the newly built magnificent building in November, in Hilgertshausen it will take even longer.

Baur assumes that the demolition excavators will not appear until spring 2023 at the earliest, so the banking business will still be running until then.

As CSU councilor Hubert Oberhauser assured, the schedule for Hilgertshausen is such that the construction is not expected to be completed until the end of 2024.

First of all, however, the municipal council decided to draw up a development plan in accordance with the draft plans of the Indersdorf architects Rabl in an accelerated process and without carrying out an environmental assessment.

The committee also decided that the costs of the procedure (planning, expert opinion and legal advice costs) should be borne by the Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank.

The basic planning services are to be provided by the Landshut planning office EGL.

Hilgertshausen fire brigade commander Rudi Effner, who also sits on the municipal council for the WGHT, called for a ban on stopping on Hirschenhausener Straße because of the extensive new development, so that the fire brigade, which also has its equipment house in this street, is not hindered during operations.

The access to the underground car park is also planned from Hirschenhausener Strasse.
