A walker in Duisburg discovered a terrarium in the white garbage bag – with a live corn snake.

When a man went for a walk in Duisburg on Tuesday, he found a garbage bag.
Inside he discovered a live corn snake.
The police are now looking for the owner.
Duisburg – Unusual find on Tuesday morning around 10:40 a.m. in the Beeck district of Duisburg: According to the police, a walker accidentally came across a large, white garbage bag with a live snake in it.
The garbage bag was placed on a green area on Papiermühlenstraße, it is said.

According to the police, there was a terrarium in the garbage bag that was wrapped in a sheet.
But that was not empty, but was inhabited at the time of the find.
"A corn snake about 50 centimeters tall was snaking on a tree trunk," the police said.
Upon seeing the animal, the man alerted police, who turned the snake over to an animal rescue service.
She is now being cared for there in a species-appropriate manner, reports 24RHEIN.

The police have now started the investigation and are looking for the owner of the snake.
In this context, witnesses who observed who parked the terrarium are being sought.

It happens again and again that people unintentionally come across animals that have been left behind - this is also the case in Merzenich in the district of Düren.
Three ball pythons were released there within a week last year.
All animals were in poor condition, one snake died shortly thereafter.
