CFO Ingo Schiller is leaving the Bundesliga club Hertha BSC after staying up in the relegation class.

As the traditional Berlin club announced, the contract with the 56-year-old will be terminated on October 31st.

Both sides had agreed on this, it said on Tuesday.

Schiller has held various positions in the association for 20 years.

Berlin – He still forms the management together with Fredi Bobic.

Hertha is facing a major upheaval.

After Schiller's farewell, confirmation of the resignation of President Werner Gegenbauer is expected soon, which several media have already reported as fixed.

For the coming season, Hertha also needs a new coach after the departure of rescuer coach Felix Magath.

The Berliners had secured relegation by beating 2-0 on Monday evening in the relegation second leg at Hamburger SV.

Schiller joined the Hertha BSC Executive Committee in 1998 and has been Finance Director since July 2001.

He has also been a member of the supervisory board of the German Football League since 2013.

Bobic had announced that he would renew the traditional Berlin club in the coming season.

When he took office last summer, he was supported by two colleagues in the club management: Carsten Schmidt as head of management and Schiller.

After Schmidt's resignation for personal reasons, he is currently the only remaining managing director due to Schiller's farewell.
