What's going on with McDonald's in India?
A few days after the frog incident in the chicken sandwich, another incident was reported involving a food item purchased at one of the chain's branches in the country - and a slippery, greenish animal of a different kind.
This time it was an unfortunate lizard that was documented floating in a glass of soft drink that was served to a stunned customer at a McDonald's restaurant in the city of Ahmedabad - the seventh largest in India.
Since we've run out of words, we're lucky to have Twitter videos.
Bottom line: A thirsty guy named Regev Joshi uploaded to the web a record of the reptile's presence in the drink.
Joshi claims that he had to wait four hours until McDonald's took the time to address his complaint, and the amount of compensation offered to him was only 300 rupees, which is about 13 shekels.

And here comes a plot twist: the flooding lizard video has gone viral in India, and the Ahmedabad Food Safety Council has decided not only to close the branch, but to close it completely and not allow entry until the details of the case become clear.
Dibang Patel of the Municipal Food Safety Council said that "there is a great concern for public health here" and stressed that food samples had been taken from the branch in favor of comprehensive laboratory tests.
McDonald's India's response (and not the only one in recent times): "We are cooperating with the authorities, as safety and hygiene are our top values.
In other words, McDonald's has not yet taken responsibility, and even hints between the lines that a lizard may have been implanted in a glass by the customer.
Days (and lab tests) will prove who is telling the truth.
Were we wrong?
Fixed!
