Police escort for a single file: safely through Nuremberg even without traffic knowledge

It's not just people who get lost here and there on the road - the Central Franconia police have now escorted a family of geese back to Nuremberg's city park.

Nuremberg – The Central Franconia police escorted a family of geese back to Nuremberg's city park.

"Because she is not familiar with the traffic rules, a family of three geese was escorted this morning by the fire brigade and a patrol from the Nuremberg East police from the intersection of Welserstrasse and Äußere Bayreuther Strasse," the police said in a Facebook post.

The family was obviously lost and was escorted back to the nearby city park.

The crossing was temporarily closed so that the geese could comfortably waddle back to their habitat.

Nuremberg recently proved its love for animals when the golden retriever siblings Josie and James found a new home through a collective search.

Nuremberg: Numerous users comment on the action on Facebook

"In the end, they arrived safely and well in the city park and were able to put their quotes in the water in a pond for refreshment," the post continues.

Numerous users commented and shared the post.

"Many thanks for the help!

They certainly wouldn't have made it alone," writes one user.

"You have a love of animals in your heart, so it's easy to help," wrote another Facebook user.
