Prof. Shai Frogel, a lecturer in philosophy at the Kibbutzim Seminar, is coming to the new "15 Minutes" podcast to criticize the reform led by the Ministry of Education.
In an interview with Yossi Hadar, he claimed that the humanities - history, literature and the Bible, are infrastructures for humanity, culture and society. Their neglect - will encourage ignorance, and harm their status.
Frogel says that "the education system is not prepared for the process of writing papers and the teachers have not been trained for this."
He added that if there were eventually jobs in the humanities they would be scarce, and a situation of buying jobs would be created.
He believes that the nickname they attached to the humanities professions in the Ministry of Education - "tomorrow's professions" only betrays their position that in fact they believe that these are the professions of yesterday.
