United States President Joe Biden has decided to keep Iran's Revolutionary Guards on the list of terrorist organizations, Politico reported tonight (Tuesday).
The remarks were attributed to a senior West official.
Another source familiar with the matter said that Biden reported his decision in a telephone conversation with Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on April 24, adding that the decision was completely final and that the window of concessions to Iran was closed.
"I am confident that President Biden, who is a true friend of Israel and cares about its security, will not be able to remove the Revolutionary Guards from the list of terrorist organizations," Bennett said in a statement after the call.
A White House statement said the two leaders spoke of "the threat posed by Iran and its envoys."

The United States added the Revolutionary Guards to the list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2019. The nickname was part of then-President Donald Trump's plan of action against Iran after removing the United States from the nuclear deal, which restricted Iran's nuclear activities in exchange for easing sanctions.
