Russia announced today that it has prevented 154 members of the House of Lords in the British Parliament from entering its territory, indicating that work to expand the Russian ban list will continue.
"This measure came in response to the decision taken by the British government last March to include in the sanctions list almost the entire composition of the Federal Assembly of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and on the basis of reciprocity," said a statement published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, carried by RIA Novosti Agency today.
The statement explained that these people, who are now banned from entering our country, made a direct contribution to the development of anti-Russian sanctions measures in London aimed at creating conditions for Russia's political isolation and destruction of its economy, indicating that they used their power to provoke anti-Russian hysteria in the United Kingdom.
On the 27th of last April, the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Moscow had imposed personal sanctions on 287 members of the House of Commons in the British Parliament, including preventing entry to Russian territory, in response to similar measures by London.
