Serious accident on A99: BMW tire suddenly bursts - car rolls over with trailer

A Munich driver lost control of his car and trailer on the A99 near Hohenbrunn because of a burst tire.
His BMW overturned, as did the trailer loaded with a car.

– On Sunday around 5:15 p.m., a 42-year-old from Munich drove with his car and trailer on the A99 in a northerly direction.
At the Hohenbrunn junction, the driver lost control of his vehicle due to a burst tire, the police report.

The BMW and trailer, including the charged car, rolled over.
This caused an estimated damage of 60,000 euros.
The driver was only slightly injured.
Johanniter, who happened to pass the accident site, took over the first aid, reports the fire brigade.
Then the crew of an ambulance took over and took the man to the hospital.

The Ottobrunn volunteer fire brigade secured the scene of the accident and separated the trailer and load.
30 forces were deployed under the direction of Alain Kretschmer until shortly before 7 p.m.
There were slight delays in excursion traffic.

Four volunteers from the Johanniter were on Sunday around 5.20 p.m. on the A99 between the Ottobrunn and Hohenbrunn junctions, on the way from the Munich-Land branch in Riemerling to the north of Munich, when a few hundred meters ahead of them a vehicle combination of a BMW and a Chrysler on a car trailer overturned.
The towing vehicle landed on its roof.

They immediately secured the scene of the accident with the two emergency vehicles – a fully equipped ambulance and an equipment truck – and took over the first aid for the slightly injured driver, who was able to get out of the vehicle himself.
For further care and to transport the driver to a hospital, the volunteers requested the public rescue service - also a team from the Johanniter from the rescue station in Riemerling.
