Iraqi Defense Minister Jumaa Enad Saadoun and Syrian Ambassador to Iraq Sattam Jadaan al-Dandah discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq in the security fields and control common borders.
In a statement to SANA reporter in Baghdad, Al-Dandah said: The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations in the military and security fields, the exchange of information between the two brotherly countries and the prospects for developing them to better levels.
Al-Dandah explained that the two sides noted the important field results achieved by the Syrian and Iraqi Arab armies in the war on terrorism and inflicting major defeats on terrorist gangs.
He pointed out that the two sides emphasized fortifying and controlling the common borders, preventing the infiltration of terrorists to and from Syria and Iraq, and continuing joint cooperation and exchanging information to eliminate the remnants of terrorist organizations.
