A canoeist found human remains in the Danube on Thursday.

Now it turned out that it was a child.

The police are investigating.

Ingolstadt – On Thursday, May 19, a canoeist found a body in the Danube.

According to the police, he was above the Vohburg barrage in Bavaria.

For a more detailed examination of the body, he was sent to Munich to be autopsied at the Institute for Forensic Medicine.

The autopsy then revealed that the human remains were the corpse of a preschool-aged child.

The identity of the child has not yet been clarified.

The police have not yet released any information about the circumstances of his death.
