Hama, SANA- The branch of the Arab Writers Union, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in Hama, organized a memorial ceremony for the thinker, writer and poet.

The branch of the Arab Writers Union, in cooperation with the Directorate of Culture in Hama, organized a memorial ceremony for the thinker, writer and poet Muhammad Adnan Qaytaz in the hall of the Arab Cultural Center in Hama, in the presence of the official and the poet’s family, friends and lovers.

Dr. Muhammad Hourani, head of the Arab Writers Union in Syria, said during a speech that “the late man is an influential intellectual and literary figure in the cultural and intellectual scene, and he passed away after being immortalized by dozens of great works where he excelled in presenting a rich production of the heritage of his city and its flags.”

Sami Taha, director of culture in Hama, pointed out that the late represents the city's memory and its heritage treasury, and his death constitutes a great loss for Arab and local culture, pointing out that he was a writer and researcher whose counterpart was the richest of the Arab library with his abundance of books.

The poet Nahid Shabib explained that the poet left us in body and his creativity remains immortal in the consciences and consciences of every person who is jealous and lover of his homeland, indicating that the sons of Hama bear love, appreciation and respect for his fragrant memory and his rich legacy that will remain a beacon in the paths of science, culture and creativity.

The son of the poet, Muayyad Quetaz, confirmed in a speech to the deceased’s family that the great attendance of the memorial is evidence of love and loyalty to a poet who loved his homeland and pledged his time to write about his history, pointing to his pride and pride in what his father left of a good reputation and a great poetic and literary legacy to immortalize his name in the sky of Syria as a poetic star.

The writer and researcher Muhammad Adnan Qitaz passed away at the age of 86 years, which he spent in authorship and literary creativity.
