Occupied Jerusalem-SANA
Today, the Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance to the village of Khirbet Qalqas, south of the city of Hebron in the West Bank, with iron gates that they control.
Wafa news agency quoted Hebron Mayor Taysir Abu Sneina as saying that the aim of this racist measure is to restrict the residents of the village and obstruct their entry, exit and movement, calling on human rights institutions to stand up to these violations of basic human rights guaranteed by international law.
The village of Khirbet Qalqas, inhabited by more than 5,000 Palestinians, is 4 kilometers from the city of Hebron, and the occupation has besieged it with checkpoints from all sides since 2000. Its entrance, which was closed today, is the only outlet for the village towards the rest of the West Bank.
