The Sparkasse foundation promotes culture, sport and the environment, among other things.

Four clubs and organizations will benefit from donations this year.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

– The Sparkasse Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen Foundation sees its task in promoting art, culture, sport and the environment in the district.

Since 1991, a total of around 930,000 euros in funding has been distributed.

Now four organizations and clubs can look forward to financial support totaling 12,500 euros.

The Catholic town church in Geretsried received a donation of 5,000 euros for the renovation of the Nikolaus chapel.

This was consecrated on September 18, 1722 and is the oldest building in the city.

Extensive renovation work is now pending: the wooden shingles have to be replaced, the brick floor repaired and the exterior facade renovated.

Also, the roof truss has rot damage and a lightning protection device needs to be installed.

Total cost: 400,000 euros.

More and more shooting clubs in the district are converting their shooting ranges to digital systems because the old cable systems are no longer up to date.

This is of course associated with high costs.

The Sparkasse Foundation is now supporting three of these conversion measures with 2,500 euros each: The Wolfratshausen mountain rifle company receives a check.

It has 138 marksmen, and upgrading their system costs around 28,000 euros.

The rifle club Almenrausch Münsing is also supported.

It was founded in 1887 and currently has 155 members.

The club will invest 50,000 euros in its 16 shooting ranges.

In addition, 2,500 euros in sports funding go to the Geierschützen Deining for the conversion of their facility.

This costs 30,000 euros.
