A 38-year-old truck driver was killed today (Tuesday) in a self-inflicted car accident on Route 6. As a result of the accident the truck caught fire. Police have opened an investigation. Road 6 from the Nachshonim interchange to the south and one northbound lane are blocked for traffic.
Firefighters worked to put out the truck burning on Road 6 in the Rosh HaAyin area, with a truck trapped in the cab.
Traffic inspectors in the Sharon area began investigating the accident.

Forces operate in the accident area,
MDA medics Eli Pechter and Matan Gida said: "We quickly arrived at the scene and saw a truck on fire with the driver's cabin completely crushed.
"After the fire was extinguished, we went to the driver, saw that he had no signs of life and we had to determine his death on the spot."
