The storm in Germany caused a lot of suffering and damage running into millions.

An unusual traffic recording meanwhile surprised the Internet.

Munich/Ennepetal - Many injured and even one dead - the great storm from Deep "Emmelinde" left devastation and sadness in some parts of Germany.

Three tornadoes were registered, one of them in the middle of downtown Paderborn.

A video possibly taken during the storm shows a different aspect – it was clicked over 170,000 times on Twitter (as of May 22, 2:10 p.m.).

The main actors: surfing traffic beacons and a surprised taxi.

You can probably see an intersection with a roundabout from the 30,000-inhabitant town of Ennepetal in North Rhine-Westphalia (Ennepe-Ruhr district).

If you believe the street signs, it is at the intersection of Fuhrstrasse and Esbecker Strasse.

Several users on Twitter also confirmed this.

In addition, the number of the company with which it also advertises on the homepage can be seen on the taxi.

However, neither the location nor the date of the recording could be verified.

The town was partially flooded thanks to "Emmelinde", a river was formed on the sloping road towards the roundabout.

In the video, this transported something unusual: street signs and beacons "surfed" on the water without falling over, held upright by the heavy stones that otherwise stabilize them on the ground.

One beacon after another came, rounded the bend and arrived at the roundabout, where it was carried on by the water.

But the surfing signs were not the only “road users”: A taxi approached the intersection in the roundabout and braked to be on the safe side in order to let the sign that had just arrived there pass.

In the roundabout you actually have the right of way, but this time it was probably better to give way!

Some users on Twitter and Reddit also see it that way, where the video is discussed extensively.

Curious video from Ennepetal: "These signs have a kind of official character"

A user writes: “These signs have a kind of official character.

I think the judiciary will always decide in favor of a beacon.

So: give way.”

Another user sees it differently: "Actually, the taxi has the right of way, but does not insist on its right.

That's what I learned at driving school too: right of way, not duty."

"All water sports on public roads are prohibited," warns another user.

Many are just amused.

"Haven't seen anything that made me laugh like that in a long time," writes one user.

And another asks: "Can you also hear the signs shouting 'Huiiii' very loudly?" You can read more about the weather here.
