Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Military and Civilian Administration of the Zaporizhia region, announced that the region, after its complete liberation from the Ukrainian Nazis, would join Russia.
"The Zaporozhye region has always been an advanced region of the Russian Empire and its population is Russian with their mentality," Rogov said in an interview with RIA Novosti Agency published today, explaining that the majority of the region's residents support joining the Russian Federation.
He pointed out that the method of integration and joining will determine after the liberation of the city of Zaporozhye, the center of the region, expressing his confidence that the city will soon be liberated from the hands of the Ukrainian Nazis.
The Russian army had liberated the entire Kherson region in southern Ukraine and part of Azov in the Zaporozhye region during its special military operation to protect Donbass, as military and civil administrations were formed in these regions.
