27-year-old sets fire twice in the communal accommodation in Indersdorf

Indersdorf – The rescue workers had to move out twice on Monday night to fires in a communal accommodation on Rieder Straße in Markt Indersdorf.

According to the findings of the criminal police, a 27-year-old man is responsible for the fire.

He was arrested.

At around 2:50 a.m., the residents were woken up by a smoke detector and had to go outside.

A couch caught fire in a room in a container and subsequently spread to the interior.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the fire brigade, which resulted in property damage of around 15,000 euros.

The occupant of the room, who, according to the current status of the investigation, had intentionally started the fire, had initially disappeared when the police arrived.

Police and fire brigade are called twice

At around 7:00 a.m., the police and fire brigade were called to the accommodation again, as smoke could be detected from one room and a scuffle between several people took place.

According to the findings of the criminal police so far, the occupant of the room that had been affected during the night had intentionally set clothing on fire and threatened to "burn down" the building.

Roommates then arrested the man.

The 27-year-old Eritrean national was arrested for the time being, and the Fürstenfeldbruck criminal police took over the investigation.

The Munich II public prosecutor's office has applied for an arrest warrant on suspicion of serious arson, which was issued and executed by the responsible judge yesterday, Tuesday.
