From Saturday, Bavaria will relax the obligation to wear a corona mask in medical practices and other facilities.
But there is no change in public transport - also because of the 9-euro ticket.
Munich – From Saturday (May 28) there will be a relaxed mask requirement in Bavaria’s medical practices, care facilities and hospitals.
Bavaria relaxes mask requirement in medical practices: surgical mask instead of FFP2
So far, an FFP2 mask has been mandatory, from Saturday only the obligation to wear a medical face mask (surgical mask) will apply.
The Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday (May 25) in Munich.
"With this decision by the Council of Ministers on Tuesday, we are following our course of providing relief wherever this is possible in view of the current corona situation," said Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU).

Bavaria relaxes the obligation to wear corona masks in doctor's offices - no change in public transport
From Saturday, an FFP2 mask requirement will only apply in local public transport.
“The risk of infection can be significantly higher in subways or buses than in other areas.
Here, in a small space, there are contacts with many different passengers who change at each station," said the CSU politician.
Therefore, it makes sense not to decide to relax the corona virus in public transport too early - especially with a view to the rush of passengers expected with the nine-euro ticket.
