United States President Joe Biden, accompanied by First Lady Jill Biden, gave a message to the nation about Tuesday's shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
In a somber speech, Biden asked for prayers for parents who lost a child and for Americans "as a nation" to ask "when will they stand up to the gun lobby?"
Biden said most Americans support common-sense gun control laws, questioned why these kinds of shootings happen so often in the US, and called for "turning pain into action and making it clear to elected officials it's time to act."
