The situation in childcare in Münsing is tense.

The family counselor gets calls from worried, angry and upset parents every day.

Münsing – The childcare situation in Münsing is tense.

Family representative Judith Huber reported on this at the most recent municipal council meeting.

Above all, crèche places would be missing.

There are twelve children on the waiting list at the Heinrich Obermaier kindergarten in Degerndorf, and 18 in the kindergarten of the Catholic Church in Holzhausen.

Some even threaten to call a lawyer,” said Huber, herself a mother of two children aged 7 and 10, describing the situation.

Childcare: Places for children under the age of three are also in demand in rural areas

In the field of childcare, a lot has changed in the past 10 to 15 years, said Huber.

In rural areas, too, parents expected childcare facilities for children under the age of three.

Likewise, lunchtime and all-day care at primary school is becoming an increasingly important topic.

The situation is not quite as bad in the kindergarten area, but there is a need here too.

The daycare centers (daycare centers) in Geretsried, Wolfratshausen, Icking and Eurasburg are also full to the brim, so that parents who work in these communities cannot go there either.

When asked, Münsing's chamberlain Hubert Kühn confirmed the high number of people waiting.

But the number is usually “alive”.

In March, the call for care options is usually very loud, he says.

In September, many places would then no longer be needed because parents would have made different decisions or had found another solution in the meantime.

Münsing is planning an additional group in Degerndorf

Nevertheless, the municipality is planning to open a fourth group in Degerndorf, at least temporarily.

The existing apartment could be converted and set up as a group for children over the age of two.

Kühn sees a group for even younger children as difficult.

In Holzhausen, the community, as the owner of the building, is trying to install a second crib group with the church as the sponsor.

"I've been working on it for a year and a half," says Kühn.

Because the building is a listed building, numerous conditions had to be observed.

But even if both facilities are increased, the problem of the staff remains.

"It's incredibly difficult to get some," says the chamberlain.

At the same time, the community is preparing in the background for the construction of a "House of the Child".

As reported, it is to be built in the town hall when the municipal administration moves to the new town hall and town hall in 2024.

During the meeting, municipal councilor Christine Mair (Greens) called for the course to be set in good time.

You have to know how much space the neighboring primary school will have for the all-day care that will apply from 2026 and how much will be left for the care of small children.
