Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian stressed that the joint strategic air patrol of the Chinese and Russian air forces does not target any third party and has nothing to do with the current international and regional situations.
The Chinese news agency Xinhua quoted Wu as saying: The Chinese and Russian air forces carried out on Tuesday a routine joint strategic air patrol.
This is the fourth strategic patrol that the air force has jointly conducted since 2019, with the aim of testing and improving the level of coordination between the two air forces and enhancing strategic mutual trust and practical cooperation between the two militaries, Wu said.
Yesterday, the Chinese and Russian air forces conducted a joint strategic air patrol over the Sea of Japan, the East China Sea and the Western Pacific Ocean, according to the annual cooperation program between the two armies.
