With national hands and expertise, the technical workshops of the Syrian Bakeries Corporation, in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian Branch of Bakeries in Homs, completed rehabilitation and maintenance operations for a number of production lines in bakeries, within the framework of restructuring production lines and meeting citizens’ needs for bread with the best specifications.
Shadi Ahmed, director of the Syrian branch of bakeries in Homs, explained to SANA that the rehabilitation and maintenance work included some lines in automated bakeries, including Al-Rastan bakery, where the implementation of the first phase of its maintenance has been completed, and the contract is currently being contracted to complete the second phase at a cost of 300 million Syrian pounds. From Al-Dahiya and Al-Walid bakeries.
Ahmed said... the rehabilitation of one of the two production lines in Deir Baalba bakery has begun, and preparations are being made to rehabilitate Palmyra bakery in cooperation with an international organization to put it into investment at the beginning of next year after it was sabotaged by terrorism, pointing to the stability of the production process in all bakeries in light of the availability of all production requirements. Of flour, oil, salt and yeast, the daily production reached 460 tons of bread.
Regarding transportation insurance for bakery workers, Ahmed indicated that a number of transportation means have been contracted to facilitate their arrival and transfer from their places of residence to work and production sites, as the number of workers in the Syrian branch of bakeries in Homs is currently about 668 permanent and contract workers and supervisors, including 306 daily-workers.
It is noteworthy that there are ten automatic bakeries and ten supervision bakeries in the governorate, which include about 30 production lines for bread.
