Driver races into oncoming traffic on the B2

A woman from Puchheim overlooked oncoming traffic when overtaking and crashed into an oncoming van.

Puchheim/Eichenau – On Wednesday, May 25, around 10 a.m., a Puchheim woman drove her car on the B 2 in the direction of Fürstenfeldbruck.
Between the Puchheim Bahnhof and Eichenau exits, the driver overtook a truck. "Obviously, the driver overlooked oncoming traffic and crashed into an oncoming van," explains Police Chief Inspector Andreas Jäger.
Both the person who caused the accident and the driver of the van sustained serious injuries.
The woman who caused the accident had to be transported to a hospital by rescue helicopter.
The B2 is currently closed in both directions, traffic is diverted via Puchheim and Eichenau.
The closure will last until around 1 p.m. due to the completion of an expert opinion and the recovery of the vehicles.
