A very large congregation of mourners, who could hardly contain the parish church of St. Vitalis in Sigmertshausen, said goodbye to Fabian König, who had died in an accident.

Röhrmoos - This sudden and unexpected death put the whole of Sigmertshausen into a state of shock.

Everyone in the village knew that the late Fabian König was chairman of the Catholic boys' association.

The club had originally planned to celebrate a big flag consecration in a week.

Now of course that is unthinkable.

The entire festival program with the festival service and procession through the town was canceled immediately.

As reported, Fabian König had a fatal accident on his motorcycle on April 27th.

Crying boys and girls shaped the image of the funeral service.

Monsignor Michael Bartmann comforted the relatives and paid tribute to the deceased as a very popular person in the village and beyond.

"During his lifetime he became a blessing for his parents, even a blessing for his place," emphasized the pastor at the solemn service for the soul, in which the choir sang about good powers.

There was also rhythmic music in honor of the deceased, and girls and boys read the prayers.

Fatal accident: Fabian König had been a firefighter since 2014

Fire brigade chairman Stefan Kottermair said goodbye to a valued comrade who had been an active member of the Sigmertshausen volunteer fire brigade since 2014.

Whether for exercises or missions, you could always count on Fabi.

"The whole boys' and girls' association is proud that you were our board," said the second chairman, Lukas Lerchl, in a tear-choked voice at the grave.

The flags of the fire brigade and the boys and girls club Röhrmoos, the sponsor club, lowered in front of the ballot box.

All the girls and boys wished the parents and relatives of Fabi König the necessary strength in these difficult hours.
