The Kahana bureau spoke with MK Moshe Arbel of Shas and a deal arose according to which MKs in Shas will allow Kahana's appointment as minister and in return Kahana will support Shas' communications law against Handel's kosher telephone reform.
Shas says they vehemently refused the offer and updated Deri.
As you may recall, in order to appoint Kahana back as minister, the coalition must achieve a simple majority in the plenum and now stands at 60.
We have previously published that the coalition also addressed the joint with a request for support or abstentions in a vote on the appointment of Kahana, jointly confirmed the details and stated that they refused.
Sources on the right claim: Shas contacted us.
The office of Deputy Minister Kahana does not deny the contacts, but said: We did not contact Shas.
MK Moshe Arbel said: "I regret making personal calls to the media. But when I was asked to comment, even though replacing Bennett with Kahane as a religious service is like replacing a cow with a donkey, we will never practically support the promotion of anyone who destroys all Jewish religious services in Israel. "And we will fight for the honor of the Torah with a wavy bristle. We will work as necessary to establish a national government that respects the Torah and tradition."
