This morning (Wednesday), the commander of the Border Police, Superintendent Amir Cohen, presented certificates of appreciation to Border Police fighters who thwarted and prevented a large number of attacks on civilians and saved lives. The event, Cohen praised the activity of the forces on the ground: "I am proud to thank you for your work for the security of the citizens of the State of Israel.
"In your actions, you showed extraordinary vigilance, determination and professionalism, thus preventing significant harm to innocent civilians."
Among the recipients of the certificates of appreciation was Inspector Y., a platoon commander at the Judea and Samaria Border Police, who quickly neutralized a terrorist armed with a knife who stabbed him at the entrance to the Cave of the Patriarchs.
In addition, the Jerusalem Border Police team praised an initiative they carried out to suspect a terrorist sitting on the steps at the Nablus Gate. The fighters called him to the checkpoint, the terrorist pulled out a knife and began stabbing one of the fighters. Rasht B also received a certificate of recognition for quickly neutralizing a terrorist who stormed the security forces at the Temple Mount gates.

In addition, a certificate was also awarded to Corporal Stas Kowalski, a company commander from the Jerusalem Envelope area, and to a fighter, Amir Joamis, for arresting the terrorist who murdered the late Kadouri couple after they identified him on the side of the road.
In recognition of their action that led to the cracking of the affair, the fighters received a medal.
