A race between the commanders and fighters of the paratroopers' brigade, past and present, took place last Monday in Hayarkon Park in Ramat Gan, when it was first held in the format of "Night Run".
In the various allotments, the brigade's fighters competed in competitive running, folk running and also set up a competition called "Steel Paratrooper".
As part of the Iron Warriors' assignment, three lieutenants - Matan Cohen from the 890th Battalion in the team commander category, a sergeant from the 890th Battalion in the commander category and the Israeli sergeant Lalom from the Hatz (Haredi in the Paratroopers) Company in the 202nd Battalion. As part of the race, there was a "steel parachute" competition that included a 60-meter sprint run, carrying 10 bags of sand weighing 30 kilograms, lifting weights of 80 kilograms, and turning tires weighing 300 kilograms.
In the end, Lt. Urieli from the 202nd Battalion won, setting a time of 5 minutes and 4 seconds.
First place in the five km competition was won by Sergeant Tal Avidan from the 202nd Battalion in a time of 16:38.

The winners of the Iron Parachute Competition were also announced - a divisional surprise competition that took place two weeks ago, in which they practiced combat fitness in the transition from an operational routine to combat effort, and examined fighters, commanders and officers alike in dealing with the mental and physical challenge.
The race was held in cooperation with the Ramat Gan Municipality and the Paratroopers 'Adoption Committee, and was led by the commander of the Paratroopers Brigade, Col. Yoav Brunner, and the chairman of the Paratroopers' Adoption Committee, Guy Gonen.
