Deputy Prime Minister Abir Kara wrote a statement this morning (Wednesday) in an internal group of Shulmanim, in which he attacks Economics Committee Chairman Michael Bitton after the latter said today that he does not intend to vote with the coalition following the reforms in agriculture and public transport.
"Michael Bitton has decided to disband the coalition. I can understand him, he wants to prevent Lapid from becoming prime minister and if Blue and White dismantles the business, Lapid really will not be prime minister," Kara wrote to Shulman.
"The political calculations do not interest me, I am interested that the cost-of-living lobbyists who work against the public like Bitton will not win."
Kara continued: "This is about harming the weakest in society and the effects that are a real disaster on Israeli society and our war on the cost of living. Do not worry, the reforms will pass."
At the end of the announcement, Kara attacked Bitton and wrote: "There is no reason why Israel should not be able to buy cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, chicken and fish at the supermarket because Michael Bitton is a lobbyist for a small group with a big interest."

Kara's remarks come after Bitton's decision this morning in the economics committee that he would no longer vote with the coalition, except in a no - confidence vote.
