The initiative comes against the background of the riots that took place on campus on the occasion of Nakba Day • The Minister of Finance tweeted: "We will not accept events as we saw at Ben-Gurion University"

A new government initiative following the storm provoked by Arab student demonstrations in academic institutions:

Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman announced today (Wednesday) that he is examining the possibility of reducing the budget of Ben-Gurion University.

In a tweet he posted on his Twitter page, the minister said that:

We will not accept events as we saw at Ben-Gurion University.

In a demonstration held at Ben-Gurion University, things were said and denied that deny the existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state.

I therefore ordered to examine the conduct of the university in order to exercise my authority to reduce from budget.

On Monday, Bedouin students held a rally on Ben-Gurion University in Be'er Sheva to mark Nakba Day at the initiative of the Hadash Party. In front of the other.

This is not the only incident in which Arab students have waved PA flags.

Earlier this month, during a "Nakba" day demonstration attended by Arab students near Tel Aviv University, many Palestinian flags were raised and riots began between the protesters and students from the "If You Will" movement and the security forces.

3 Arab students were arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
