The chairman of the economics committee, MK Michael Bitton (blue and white), announced today (Wednesday) that a new announcement will not vote with the coalition, except in cases of no-confidence vote.
Bitton added that "maybe later I will vote against."
Bitton's statement comes in the wake of the controversy surrounding public transport reform, which the economics committee said was done abruptly, behind its back, without presenting data and in a way that harms vulnerable populations and the periphery.
Bitton has warned several times in the past week that if his requests regarding the reform are not answered he will take steps against the coalition, but the coalition has not attached importance to this so far.
Bitton's announcement ahead of today's votes in the plenum may make it difficult for the coalition to vote on preliminary reading bills.
In the meantime, next week's committee hearings have been canceled.
"If there is a leadership, the prime minister, the alternate prime minister, who knows how to solve it within a day or two and even fix 70-80%, I will accept," Bitton said.
